Sarah Bult is a theatrical designer, digital and 2D artist, and makeup artist based out of Northern Utah. With a BFA in Theatrical Design and Technology, she has designed hair and makeup for several theatrical performances and gained valuable education and experience in all areas of theatrical design including costumes, scenic, lighting, and sound. Additionally, she has practically created makeup and wardrobe looks for short and feature films, advertisements, commercials, music videos, independent films, and photography. Before her career in theatre, she studied the visual arts and graphic design and is proficient with multiple visual art mediums including digital. She has an in-depth knowledge of color theory and design principles, which has allowed her to become a quick learner of new creative disciplines.
Sarah is skilled at special effects makeup, teeth fabrication, sculpting, costume crafts, multiple styles of makeup application, ventilation, hand laying hair, period wig styling, and has a working knowledge of makeup design. Sarah has a passion for storytelling and enjoys doing in-depth research on productions. She loves working with actors, directors, and production teams to help achieve a vision for a production. Sarah currently works as a makeup artist at BYU Television and Broadcasting as well as on multiple theatrical productions in her community.
